Federal Circuit Reverses Apple's Injunction Against Samsung

The Federal Circuit this morning reversed and remanded the district court’s injunction against Samsung in the Apple v. Samsung case. They found that Apple failed to establish any “causal nexus” between the allegedly infringing feature of the Samsung phones and customer demand. Consequently, Apple failed to prove irreparable harm resulting from the alleged infringement. (The Court also found that the district court had made an error in its claim construction.)
